Henrietta is a Chartered and European Patent Attorney working at Elkington + Fife LLP.  She specialises in the life sciences, with particular expertise in biotherapeutics including biologics, antibody therapeutics, and stem cell therapies, and also in plant sciences.  Henrietta carries out a range of patent work including prosecution at the EPO and UKIPO and overseas, opinions and freedom to operate analyses, as well representing her clients before the Examining Division, Opposition Division and Boards of Appeal at the EPO.

Alongside her work as a patent attorney, she also tutors trainees for both the UK and European qualifying exams.  Prior to joining the Board of IPReg, Henrietta was an examiner for the Final Diploma examinations for five years and also served as a professional member of the Joint Disciplinary Panel.

Before becoming a Patent Attorney, Henrietta studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge University, where she focused on molecular biology and plant science. Following her first degree, Henrietta completed a PhD at the Sainsbury Laboratory, investigating the mechanism of gene-for-gene disease resistance in plants.
