IPReg has published the findings report from the Education Review Call for Evidence and Feedback.
The report draws together feedback from across the patent attorney and trade mark attorney professions, alongside input from trainees, employers, education providers, professional bodies, consumer representatives, and others in the IP sector. Key themes in responses include maintaining high professional standards, ensuring qualification arrangements remain fit for the future in the context of changing practice and client needs, and recognising the central role that work-based learning, supervision and mentoring play in developing trainees’ professional competence.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Call. The Call findings will inform the next phase of the Education Review to develop proposals and draft outputs. We plan to consult on these from late 2026 into early 2027.
