The new regulatory arrangements come into force on 1 July 2023
Using the links on the left hand side, you can access IPReg's new regulatory arrangements comprising of:
- the Core Regulatory Framework, setting out the Overarching Principles and rules

- the Standard Operating Procedures which set out procedural matters in relation to authorisation and admission to the register, the disciplinary process and applying for a waiver of IPReg's Rules
- guidance
The Core Regulatory Framework and the Standard Operating Procedures cannot be amended without consultation and authorisation by the Legal Services Board. Guidance to support the new arrangements will be updated from time to time.
IPReg applied to the Legal Services Board to amend its regulatory arrangements on 10 November 2022. The Legal Services Board authorised the changes by its decision of 7 February 2023.
