Caroline comes to the IPReg Board with experience as Chair of the Board of Breast Cancer UK, having been a Trustee for four years. She has also been a lay advisor at the Royal College of Pathologists. Caroline was appointed National Director of BDA Wales in 2016; responsible for the strategic furtherance of policies and promoting the interests of dentists through various channels, including lobbying Assembly Members and Government Ministers.

Aside from being Head of Science & Education at the BMA London, Caroline’s career has been substantially in Higher Education with senior roles including Principle Lecturer; Associate Dean for Teaching & Learning; External Examiner for Health and Biosciences at both Salford and Napier Universities; Director of Teaching & Learning Operations and Consultant for biological programmes at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland. Caroline was Dean of School at the British Columbia Institute of Technology; responsible for a budget of CAD17m to run the Computing Programmes and the pan-institution Academic Studies programmes. On returning to the UK, Caroline was appointed Director at the National Childbirth Trust with a remit that included practitioners’ higher education, CPD and Professional Fitness to Practice.

Caroline is proud to have completed the Vancouver 10K Sun Run in 2011, but these days she enjoys walking, hatha yoga and making jam with fruit picked from her garden.
