CMA – Implementation
Remedies Programme Implementation Group
All the legal regulators have now met twice with the CMA to determine a joint working programme. Follow this link to the CMA website where the minutes of these meetings have been published.
All regulators will be submitting their Action Plans Action by the end of June and these will be published.
Details of the agreed actions will also be published on this page. In the interim:
- The Solicitors Regulation Authority has announced that it is working on plans to require law firms to publish prices for conveyancing, divorce and private client work.
- The Legal Services Board Consumer Panel has published a Report outlining key criteria for success, intending that the criteria be the foundations for the new price transparency approach but also warning against “information overload.”
- IPReg has established a Reserve to support implementation including any necessary additional resource.
