Keith is a Chartered and European Patent Attorney and a Registered Trade Mark Attorney. He graduated in Engineering Science from Oxford University.
Keith joined the Carpmaels & Ransford partnership in 1984, became Senior Partner in 2003 and was the firm’s first elected Managing Partner in 2010. He retired from the partnership in 2014 and continues as a consultant to the firm. He was on the INTA Board of Directors from 2003 to 2005. He maintained a mixed patent, design and trade mark practice throughout his career.
Away from professional life, Keith has been a keen and active sportsman, having gained hockey Blues and played some first-class cricket (unsuccessfully) while at Oxford. He still umpires at Tulse Hill & Dulwich HC and looks forward to coaching his grandchildren in the art of defending. Keith and his wife are both active in their local church.
